Without going into an unnecessarily verbose account- I am a musician/sound designer with a history of work (and education) in multimedia design and a desire to work. I have accepted in recent years that I may never retire. Luckily, I am not eager to- my only requirement for satisfaction in employment is that I find happiness in my tasks such that, if I never do retire, I am happy all the same in working. I have been very fortunate in the experiences and opportunities I have had in my working life- and I am always actively seeking to expand upon that fortune. I believe in the strength of collaboration and making quality relationships that encourage these kind of results.

Nicolas Dobbratz’s (Sugar&Gold, of Montreal, Yip Deceiver) label and home of Yip Deceiver as well as my own forthcoming Lonely Paul release. I have been keeping up with a wide variety of tasks for our internet presence and also designed/maintain our web sites for Yip Deceiver and the Aerobic web presence.

Since our first show on New Year’s Eve of 2010, I have been touring with Davey Pierce’s (of Montreal) project Yip Deceiver (yipdeceiver.com) We have completed a national tour that included 3 dates at SXSW in Austin Texas and various dates with Athens band of Montreal.

I have been working with Athens band of Montreal since the Coquette video. I have operated as a tech, performer, LD and visual artist. The past year’s dates have included two national tours, dates in Canada and all over Europe, performing on the same stage as the Flaming Lips at Prima Vera Sound festival in Barcelona and getting to drive the lights at Koko in London.

Creative Director at Film Athens/ Sprockets Music Video Competition

After winning the audience choice award in the competition in 2004, I joined up as Creative Director- Have designed promotional campaigns and show content for the 2005, 2006 and 2007 shows as well as editing the 06 and 07 shows together. Also served as a spokesman and presented the awards at the annual Flagpole Music Awards for those years.
Digital Production Manager at UGA Libraries, Peabody Archives
August 2004– October 2006 (2 years 3 months)
Inquest and restoration of archival media. Implemented streaming programs and digital alternatives to traditional viewing methods. Digitization of audio, coordination with other departments… lots of meetings. Oversaw inquest projects directly as well as any related designs. Served on a number of grant committees and used extension hours to work on projects with various grad students at the Lamar Dodd school as well as working with Art Rosenbaum on digitization of the material that went on to win a Grammy as “The Art of Field Recording.”
